in a building of
significance

The building consists of seventy generously-proportioned apartments spread over ten floors, including a 445 square metre penthouse on the tenth floor, and a heated swimming pool and spa pool at ground level. Also at this level are areas with seating, landscaped grounds and a residents' lounge adjacent to a wine bar. The wine bar and seating area is located in the northern corner, and separated from the street by a change of level and raised planters.

The apartments are all from a design by architect Kerry Avery, who interpreted the brief as 'the feeling of a home at the beach, but incorporating low maintenance, larger than average spaces and every modern convenience'. Each apartment has a large deck, an interior stud height of 2.7 metres, and extensive use of floor to ceiling glass to optimise the views and create indoor-outdoor flow. All apartments have full height glazing, powder coated aluminium window joinery, glass and aluminium balustrades and tiling on balcony and terrace floors.

The design, location and varying size of the decks, and the use of a contrasting glass in the deck balustrades, provides elevations that are highly articulated and appear to move over the façade as they go up the building. The strategic use of tinted glass also allows the building to reflect its surroundings and change appearance according to the atmospheric conditions.

The main living area is carpeted, while the kitchen features stone bench tops, sink mixer and waste disposal. A similar high level of equipment and cabinetry is in all bathrooms. Lighting throughout is a mix of recessed ceiling fittings and halogen units.

117 car parking spaces are provided, including 91 in the secure underground car park.
